Bold doesn't mean careless

Poemia is built for adults who want to be direct. That only works when the boundaries are real.

  • Adults only

    Poemia is 18+. A birth date is required to create a profile, and discovery never surfaces anyone under 18.

  • Anonymity is privacy

    Until you reveal yourself, the person you're talking to has no access to your name or your photos.

  • Blocking is instant

    One tap ends a conversation for good. A blocked person cannot reach you again.

  • Photos are screened

    Profile photos pass automated moderation before they reach discovery.

  • Keep it on the app

    Never share your phone number, home address, passwords, or payment details in a chat. Poemia will never ask you for them.

  • Report anything

    Report a profile or a message and it goes to review. Reports are handled independently of who reported whom.

When something goes wrong

Every profile and every message can be reported from inside the app. Reports go to a review queue and are assessed on what was said and done, not on who filed them.

Blocking is separate from reporting and takes effect immediately. A blocked person loses access to you: they cannot message you, and they cannot reach you again through a new conversation.

Before you meet anyone in person

  • Meet somewhere public the first few times, and stay somewhere public.
  • Tell a friend where you are going, who you are meeting, and when you expect to be back.
  • Arrange your own transport there and back, so you are never dependent on someone you just met.
  • Keep your phone charged, and keep your drink with you.
  • Leave whenever you want to. You never owe anyone an explanation.

Money is always a red flag

Nobody you meet on Poemia has a legitimate reason to ask you for money, gift cards, crypto, or your banking details. Not for a plane ticket, not for a medical emergency, not for an investment opportunity.

If someone moves the conversation towards money, or pushes hard to continue on another app before you are ready, treat it as a scam and report it.

What we will never ask you for

Poemia will never ask for your password, your payment details, or a verification code — not by message, not by email, not by phone. Anyone who does is not us.

Subscriptions are billed only through the App Store or Google Play. There is no other way to pay for Poemia.

Poemia is restricted to people aged 18 and over. A birth date is required to create a profile, and the discovery feed never shows anyone under 18.

If you believe someone using the app is a minor, report the profile immediately. Reports of this kind are prioritised.
